Since 2001, the museum has been positioned throughout from Bellevue Square in a three-story building designed by architect Steven Holl. The Bellevue Arts Museum closed indefinitely on September four, 2024, amid financial issues. An art space situated in Tokyo Midtown, it has been directed by three Japanese masters of design, fashion designer Art Galery Issey Miyake, graphic designer Taku Satoh and product designer Naoto Fukazawa. The large-scale steel roofing of the constructing was designed by architect Tadao Ando and bears his unique curved form stretching down toward the bottom, avoiding a caged-in really feel and instead creating comfort.
