I had bought an HTC pro 10 desire 04 years back.
From the 2nd year booting problem started.
While using the phone it exits. From that day I was trying to get this repaired. This phone has no service center, support and as a result I suffered a heavy loss by purchasing this phone. So don’t buy. Imagine the situation, if any user, while using the phone, if the phone automatically exits and restarts multiple times.

Why should any sane company install a 1 year old snapdragon on a new smartphone that has all advanced specs except that🀯🀯🀯 and also selling it for almost $600 WTF were u thinking HTC!!???
With that it isn’t worth more than $200-300!!!
Why not complete it with Snap 8 genπŸ™„πŸ€”πŸ€”

MicroSD is a nice touch.
3.5mm jacks? Can I get my hopes high, can it actually match LG G8x/V40/older flagships in music quality?

I clearly remember, the older HTC flagships aimed heavily at the music experience.
The HTC One M8 is a good example that comes to mind. I so hope this is true.

How it’s a pro when it’s a mid range chipset in it. HTC can’t make people fool. Now it’s the world of Apple, Samsun, MI and oppo.

Gone are the days for LG, Sony, Nokia and HTC

Anonymous, May 19, 2023Funny when 7g1 was announced May/22 , when 8+g1 is also from mid 2022. Same ppl love to see … more7th gen 1 is barely faster but much more power hungry than 778G. Dimensity 1200/1300 are much better chips in every way. Snapdragon 7 gen 1 is a flop.

Anonymous, May 18, 2023Mid-range killer at flagship killer price? So weird and stupid statement

Hang on wtf? HTC is back making phones? Since when? U23? Lmao taking a dump on Samsung’s 23U πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ just like the good old days.

This beast is also only € 500? Welcome back HTC!

My old U11 Plus was an absolute beast, the ultrapixel camera was revolutionary. Camera absolutely destroyed all the competition back then and the U11 Plus was gorgeous. Was the first phone which could actually take low light photos.

Damn here’s hoping HTC makes the world’s biggest comeback. UI was always clean as heck. HTC never had bloatware and you always got 3.5mm headphones and a fast charger with the phone. We need some competition and HTC was one hell of a competitor once. So was LG.

I’m up for a new work phone in June and well HTC here you go man. 3.5mm SD card slots? 108MP camera. I’ll take it. Sounds like a great work phone. Will keep my flagship for personal use.

LET’S GO BABY!

Nothing wrong with this phone, just a good solid phone that does what you want from a phone. Generic design sure, it’s not HTC from what it was years back with some amazing looking phones. Not sure what is HTC’s update policy nowadays.

Anonymous, May 18, 2023Still the king anyway. Nobody gives 4 android updates.Doesn’t mean anything if phone parts cannot be interchanged due to some silly drm that people like you wholeheartedly accept.
Oh, they could update more if they put their heart into it. Galaxy Note 3 runs a cfw of Android 11 that was put together by a commoner.
But of course, that won’t make them monies. 🀣

Well, while I agree the price could be lower, around 400-450, beside the battery I see nothing wrong with the specs, even more I am really glad they kept the SD slot and the audio jack. But as we said, let’s better wait for the review, if there will be one.

K

coyz, May 19, 2023I love the overall design esp with sd card and 3.5 jack but the processor is very outdatedOf course it’s very outdated, it was released some 15 years ago… Really? How are you going to use this piece of ancient technology? It doesn’t even have a year…

7 gen 1 is not only old, but it’s also made by Samsung. Just like the 888 and 8 gen 1, they are huge downgrades in performance and battery life when compared to TSMC made parts. Really bad choice there for a unit to revive the brand with.
Then again, maybe they don’t care anymore than just slapping their name on some ODM design (like Nokia, BlackBerry and Alcatel). They sold all their phone design employees to Google already.
